Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Here are some frequently asked questions about how The Menopause Wellness Centre can help you, including what we do and where we are based. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to get in touch.

What is a Menopause Wellness Practitioner?

A Menopause Wellness Practitioner is typically trained in various aspects of menopause, including physical and emotional symptoms, hormonal changes, and lifestyle adjustments that can help manage menopause-related issues. I specialise in fitness managed plans too.

How can I contact you?

You can message me via the website, by email, give me a call or drop me a message via Whatsapp, or contact me social media. In fact, pretty much the only way not to contact me is via carrier pigeon (although, who knows — why not give it a go?)!

Where are you based?

My clinic is in Newton Poppleford, Sidmouth, Devon, however I offer online support both nationally and internationally.

How often will I need to see you?

That is completely up to you. Most clients tend to work with me over a period of time, that may be every three weeks, each month, or just a check in once in a while. I will never be afraid to tell you when I think our work together has reached a natural conclusion. I will also refer you to other wellness practitioners if I feel they can offer further support.

What happens during a consultation?

We will discuss your health, symptoms and woes. We will look at your diet and activity levels. Between us, we will come up with a plan that works for you. I will follow up your appointment(s) with an email detailing a summary of what we've discussed, any actions you need to implement, and some further reading. Every session is tailored to each individual and everything we discuss is completely confidential.

What’s your Cancellation Policy?

All appointments have a 24-hour cancellation policy.  Unfortunately, unless in extreme circumstances, your payment will be non-refundable at this time.

Can you provide prescriptions for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)?

No. Prescriptions can only be provided by your GP or Health Practitioner. I can give you some examples of what is/can be available to you, but you must consult your Doctor for the correct prescription and advice for you.

Do you have verified qualifications?

I am a qualified Menopause Wellness Practitioner, Menopause Managed Naturally Practitioner, and a Menopause Nutrition and Weight Management Practitioner — all accredited and approved by the professional bodies FHT, IPHM, Thinktree, World Metaphysical Association, and The Accreditation Council of Holistic Healers (ACHH). I am also a Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Instructor for Exercise for Older Adults, and a GGS-1 Women's Coaching Specialist all certified by CIMSPA.
