Hi I'm Sharon...

Menopause Wellness & Movement Coach, Women's Coaching Specialist and founder of The Menopause Wellness Centre.

But before any of those titles, I'm a woman who's living through menopause too.

And my own journey wasn't particularly straightforward.

Following a hysterectomy in my early 40s, I found myself navigating surgical
menopause and a body that suddenly seemed to have very different ideas
about how it wanted to behave.

Hot flushes. Sleepless nights. Anxiety. Anger. Aching joints. Weight changes.
Brain fog. Bladder problems...

At times, I genuinely didn't recognise myself.

And like so many women, I discovered there wasn't one magic answer.

Movement changed things for me...

Exercise has always been part of my life, but during menopause it became about something much bigger than how my body looked.

Moving helped my mood.

Getting stronger made me feel more capable.

And learning about nutrition, sleep, stress and recovery helped me understand that looking after myself wasn't about doing one thing perfectly.

It was about the whole picture.

That realisation eventually led me to train professionally and create The Menopause Wellness Centre.

I wanted other women to have the kind of practical support I wish I'd understood much earlier.

I Don't Want My 30-Year-Old Body Back

I want the body I have now to be strong enough to take me into my 60s, 70s, 80s and hopefully beyond.

  • I want to travel.

  • Walk up mountains.

  • Carry my own suitcase.

  • Get down on the floor and back up again.

  • Try new things.

  • Stay independent.

And keep saying yes when opportunities come along.

That's what healthy ageing means to me.

And it's at the heart of how I work with women.

This isn't about turning back the clock.

It's about investing in the woman you're becoming.

Why Coaching?

Because most women I meet don't actually need another person telling them:

  • "You need to exercise."

  • "You need to eat better."

  • "You need to get more sleep."

They already know.

The difficult part is working out how to make those things happen when you're dealing with work, family, changing hormones, tiredness, stress, aches and pains and years of putting everyone else first.

That's where coaching is different.

I don't just tell you what to do.

I help you work out what's getting in the way, what matters to you and what changes are genuinely realistic.

Then we start there.

What It's Like to Work With Me

I'm not interested in quick fixes, extreme diets or punishing women for what they ate at the weekend.

And I'm certainly not going to shout at you.

You won't find before-and-after photographs or promises to transform your body in six weeks here either.

Instead, you'll find someone who listens.

Someone who understands that walking through the door of your first class can sometimes be a massive achievement.

Someone who knows that life gets in the way.

And someone who will probably be just as excited as you are when you suddenly realise:

"I can do that again."

Because those are the changes that matter.

Professionally Trained. Personally Experienced.

Lived experience is important to me, but so is being properly trained to support the women who trust me with their wellbeing.

My qualifications and specialist training include:

Menopause & Women's Health

  • Menopause Wellness Practitioner

  • Menopause Managed Naturally Practitioner

  • Menopause Nutrition & Weight Management Practitioner

  • Menopause Movement Coach

  • GGS Menopause Coaching Specialist

  • GGS Women's Coaching Specialist

Movement & Healthy Ageing

  • Level 2 Fitness Instructor

  • Level 3 Exercise for Older Adults

  • Online Personal Trainer qualification

Sleep, Stress & Recovery

  • PN1 Sleep, Stress Management & Recovery Practitioner

  • Vagus Nerve Practitioner training

I've also undertaken additional CPD in areas relevant to the women I work with, including understanding GLP-1 medications and how to appropriately support clients using them alongside their medical care.

And I continue to learn because our understanding of menopause, women's health and healthy ageing continues to evolve.

I'm Still a Work in Progress Too

I'm still learning.

Still getting older.

Still challenging myself.

Still having days when I'd rather not exercise.

Still trying new things...

And still discovering what my body is capable of.

I think that's important.

I don't want to stand on the sidelines telling women how they should live.

I'm right there, living it too.

And if you're at a point where you know you'd like to feel stronger, healthier or simply more like yourself again, I'd love to help you find your way forward.

You don't need to become the woman you used to be.

Let's see what the woman you are now can do.
