For Health Professionals
Practical lifestyle and movement support for women through menopause, midlife and beyond
Women are often given good health advice.
-
Move more.
-
Build strength.
-
Improve your diet.
-
Lose weight.
-
Prioritise sleep.
-
Reduce stress.
But knowing what would benefit your health and knowing how to make it happen in everyday life are very different things.
The Menopause Wellness Centre provides practical coaching, movement and lifestyle support to help women turn appropriate health advice into realistic, sustainable action.
My role is complementary to clinical and allied healthcare services - not a replacement for them.
Bridging the Gap Between Advice and Action
A woman may know she needs to become more active but have no idea where to start.
She may have lost strength or confidence.
She might feel uncomfortable in a gym or traditional exercise environment.
She may be struggling with sleep, stress, energy or motivation.
Or she may simply need someone to help her take broad health recommendations and make them achievable within her own life.
That's where I can help.
I work with women individually to identify what they want to change, what may be getting in the way and the practical steps they can begin taking.
Who Might Benefit?
Appropriate signposting may include women who would benefit from additional support with:
-
Increasing physical activity
-
Building and maintaining strength
-
Mobility and balance
-
Returning to exercise
-
Healthy ageing
-
Nutrition and sustainable eating habits
-
Weight management
-
Sleep and recovery
-
Stress management
-
Energy and motivation
-
Confidence around movement
-
Sustainable lifestyle and behaviour change
-
General menopause wellbeing
Support is personalised to the individual rather than based on a one-size-fits-all programme.
How I Support Women
One-to-One Coaching
Individual support looking at the bigger picture - including movement, strength, nutrition, sleep, stress, confidence, motivation and sustainable lifestyle change.
Women can book a single session or work with me over a longer period depending on their needs.
Meno Move Online
For women who are happy to exercise independently but need structure and guidance.
Following an initial consultation, I create a personalised exercise programme based on the individual's goals, ability, available equipment and realistic weekly commitment.
Programmes are delivered through an app and progress in six-week blocks.
Local Group Exercise
Friendly, accessible classes supporting strength, fitness, mobility, balance and confidence.
These can provide an alternative for women who may not feel comfortable in a traditional gym environment.
Weight Management & GLP-1 Support
Weight management may form part of a woman's wider health goals.
My approach focuses on sustainable lifestyle change rather than restrictive diets or quick fixes, considering areas such as nutrition, movement, strength, sleep and stress.
I neither advocate for nor against the use of GLP-1 medications. Whether medication is appropriate is a personal and clinical decision between the individual and an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
I have completed additional CPD in understanding GLP-1 medications and supporting clients who use them.
Where a woman is using a GLP-1 medication, I can provide complementary lifestyle support with particular focus on maintaining muscle and strength, physical activity, appropriate nutrition habits and sustainable behaviour change.
I do not prescribe medication or advise on dosage, side effects or changes to treatment.
Signposting - Simple and Straightforward
There is no formal referral process required.
If you feel a woman may benefit from my services, you can simply give her my details or direct her to The Menopause Wellness Centre.
She can then contact me herself to discuss what she's looking for and whether my support is appropriate.
There is no obligation for her to book and no ongoing administration is required from the signposting professional.
Clear Professional Boundaries
Knowing when I'm not the right person matters too.
The Menopause Wellness Centre provides coaching, movement, menopause education and practical lifestyle support.
I do not:
✕ Diagnose menopause or other medical conditions
✕ Provide medical assessment or treatment
✕ Prescribe medication
✕ Recommend starting, stopping or changing HRT or other medication
✕ Interpret medical investigations or test results
✕ Provide specialist clinical nutrition or dietetic treatment
✕ Replace a GP, physiotherapist, dietitian or other regulated healthcare professional
Women requiring medical assessment, diagnosis, investigation or treatment are directed to an appropriate healthcare professional.
This includes women experiencing:
✕ Red flag symptoms
✕ New or unexplained symptoms requiring investigation
✕ Acute mental health concerns
✕ Symptoms outside my professional scope
✕ Concerns requiring diagnosis or medical treatment
My role is complementary - not clinical.
